Mobile Hearing Testing in Washington

Anadyne provides mobile hearing testing for hundreds of employers throughout the Pacific Northwest, including Washington State. Unlike national, one-size-fits-all providers, our location in the northwest ensures we comply with all local regulations that vary from federal OSHA regulations.

Hearing Conservation in Washington

There are several requirements Washington employers should be aware of when it comes to their OSHA hearing conservation program, including

  • age-correction factors (presbycusis) are not allowed to be applied to a Standard Threshold Shift, although they can be applied to the recordability of a shift

  • Washington OSHA allows for a 12 month baseline 'mobile van' exemption, where if the hearing tests are conducted by a mobile unit, the employer has up to 12 months after their inclusion in the hearing conservation program to get their baseline hearing test

  • Washington requires that the examiner be either a physician, audiologist, otolaryngologist, or CAOHC certified audiometric technician
